So I know most, if not all, of you have seen my little cartoons that I post. You can probably figure out that I like to draw, but I’m really excited lately because I’m learning a LOT more about drawing manga style and how to use copic markers. If you’re interested, the key to copic markers is the paper. I know a lot of people use these copic sketch markers to make postcards, but I just use them for my manga. I learned the hard way that using other paper like bristol board is great for trying to avoid bleeding through the paper, but you will run out a marker in just one or two large pictures that way. No fun because those are expensive to purchase and then, depending on where you live, you end up having to order the refills online and wait for them or purchase another marker. Refills make a lot more sense though because you can fill your marker (from what I’ve read) about eight times or more for the same price you might have to pay to get the marker initially.
Since I’m excited by what I’ve learned, I figured that although this project is unfinished, I would share it with you. I still have to color the funky hair, but for now I’m leaving it white. I’m feeling a bit intimidated by coloring hair so I’m going to take it a little bit at a time.
